Conversational Italian elementary

Who is this course for?

This course is intended for participants who speak Italian at CEFR level A1 or beginner A2. The course is taught in Italian as much as possible,with explanations provided in Dutch or English depending on the group participants. It is therefore important that you have a good command of English in order to participate in the course.

What will you learn in this course?

The course comprises 6 lessons of 1.5 contact hours. During the course, we work together to improve your speaking skills. During the six lessons you will work practically with the language through various exercises such as role plays, language games, theme cards and question-and-answer exercises. We will work with various conversation topics such as planning a holiday, booking a hotel and discussing your work or study. In this way, you expand your vocabulary and repeat, practise and improve grammar knowledge that you have already studied.

This course offers you the ideal opportunity to learn to speak Italian better together with a native speaker and your fellow course members in an accessible way!

How many hours of independent study are required?

You should expect to spend a total of 18 hours on independent study in order to stay on track with the course. This involves, for example, doing speaking assignments and vocabulary exercises.

Course material

For this course we use new material that will be provided by the teacher. The conversation course partly refers back to the course material of Italian 0 > A1 and Italian A1 > A2.

Rosetta Stone

A Rosetta Stone independent study account is a great tool to use alongside the course. You can also use it to keep working on your language skills even after the course has finished. Please note that a Rosetta Stone account is not compulsory for the course and will not be used by the teacher, but it can give your language learning an extra boost!
