Do you already know a bit of German and would you like to practice your speaking skills before you move up to the next level? Whether you want to talk more easily about yourself, discuss something with your friends, or master the language for study or work at a beginner's level, a German conversation course offers the solution!
Who is this course for?

This course is intended for participants who speak German at CEFR level A1 or beginner A2. The course is taught in German as much as possible, with explanations provided in Dutch or English depending on the group participants. It is therefore important that you have a good command of English in order to participate in the course.

If you are unsure whether this level is right for you, you can test yourself online using the placement test! Alternatively, make an appointment for the online consultation to get personal advice from our teacher.

What will you learn in this course?

The course consists of 12 contact hours in total, during which we will help you improve your conversation skills. During the lessons, various exercises will enable you to get to grips with the language. These include role play, language games, themed cards and Q&A sessions. We will work with various conversation topics such as introducing yourself and others, paying a visit to the doctor‘s, discussing your work or study and finding a new place to stay. You will receive a lot of personal feedback during these lessons, as you will be taught in a small group of no more than 12 course participants.

This course offers you the ideal opportunity to learn to speak German better together with a native speaker and your fellow course members in an accessible way!

How many hours of independent study are required?

You should expect to spend a total of 18 hours on independent study in order to stay on track with the course. This involves, for example, doing speaking assignments and vocabulary exercises.

Course material

For this course we use new material that will be provided by the teacher. The conversation course partly refers back to the course material of German 0>A1 and A1>A2.
