Would you like to learn Dutch? With this Dutch beginners’ course from the University of Groningen Language Centre, you will learn the basics of the Dutch language. During the language course, you will learn how to speak Dutch in various situations, such as at the market, in the cafeteria at work or school, in a café, or in a restaurant. You will be speaking Dutch from the very first lesson!

At the Language Centre, you will learn Dutch at a fast pace with the help of teaching methods we developed ourselves. Our language courses focus on speaking and understanding the Dutch language. This way, you will quickly start to feel more or less at home with the language, and you naturally expand your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at GSSE-PhD students who don’t speak Dutch yet. During the course, we will work towards CEFR level A1. You can take this course at the expense of the Board of the University of Groningen - read all about this arrangement here
