The Dutch language has many different sounds and it can be a challenge to pronounce them all correctly. Do certain sounds in Dutch remain difficult and would you like to improve your pronunciation? Our speech therapists are happy to help you! In this  tailor-made training course at the University of Groningen Language Centre, we put together a customized course so that we can effectively and purposefully improve your intelligibility in six lessons. 

At the Language Centre, we offer various tailor-made training courses, which we  offer one-to-one, in small groups, and to entire organizations. After a no-obligation intake interview, we provide a targeted course design. We develop the training course in consultation with you based on our many possibilities and expertise. 

Who is this course for?

This course is intended for participants with a pre-intermediate level of Dutch at CEFR level A2. The course is also accessible to anyone with a higher level.

  • Our speech support is related to teaching and therefore isn't covered by health insurance policies.
  • You can use the DUO loan to pay for the training to prepare for the State Examination in Dutch as a Second Language (level B2) or Staatsexamen NT2 .

How many hours of independent study are required?

Brief and frequent training is essential for success. During this course, we tailor the exercises to your personal learning goals. We work with texts and speaking situations that correspond with your daily life or work situation. This allows you to benefit directly from the training sessions.

There is no book requested for this course. Course material will be provided during the lessons.
