Do you want to speak Spanish more fluently before you go up a level, or is your spoken Spanish not yet good enough? Whether you want to converse more easily with your in-laws or you need Spanish for your work or studies, a conversation course could be just what you’re looking for!
Who is this course for?
This course is intended for participants who speak Spanish at CEFR level B1 or beginner B2. The course is taught in Spanish as much as possible, with explanations provided in Dutch or English depending on the group participants. It is therefore important that you have a good command of English in order to participate in the course.

What will you learn in this course?
The course consists of 12 contact hours each, during which we will help you improve your conversation skills. During the lessons, various exercises will enable you to get to grips with the language. These include role play, language games, themed cards and Q&A sessions. This is a tried-and-tested way to broaden your vocabulary and allow you to repeat, practise and improve the grammar you have already mastered. Topics that will be discussed are:
- The difference between por and para
- Past tenses (pretérito perfecto, indefinido, imperfecto, and pluscuamperfecto)
- Modo subjuntivo
You will receive a lot of personal feedback during these lessons, as you will be taught in a small group of no more than 12 course participants.
How many hours of independent study are required?
You should expect to spend a total of 18 hours on independent study in order to stay on track with the course. This involves, for example, grammar exercises, vocabulary development, and listening exercises. You will also be asked to do a reading or writing exercise every now and again.

- Describing a country or society
