Swedish A1>A2

Do you already know some Swedish, and would you like to improve your knowledge? After this course, you will be able to express yourself easily in Swedish and feel more comfortable using the language! We offer this course in cooperation with the Scandinavian Translation and Information Bureau Netherlands (SVIN). This course takes you to the next level at a faster pace than SVIN’s own courses.

Who is this course for?

This course is for beginners who have a basic level of Swedish (A1). Not sure about your level? Check your level first by completing this free online level test. During the course, we work towards level A2. The course is taught in Swedish as much as possible, with explanations provided in English when necessary. It is therefore important that you have a good command of English in order to participate in the course.

What will you learn in this course?

The course consists of 12 two-hour lessons, during which the following topics will be covered:

• Pronunciation
• Vocabulary on topics such as food, work, relationships, climate, education, and the media
• Comparisons
• Conjunctions
• More about the different verb forms

How many hours of independent study are required?

You should expect to spend a total of 30 hours on independent study in order to stay on track with the course. This includes learning vocabulary and grammar, doing the exercises in the book and online, watching videos, listening to audio clips, and reading the news.

What will you be able to do after the course?

• Express your opinion in simple language.
• Hold a conversation in simple language, ask questions, and understand answers on everyday topics.
• Express yourself on topics of personal interest, such as work, lifestyle, and culture.
