Would you like to write better Dutch texts? This course from the University of Groningen Language Centre will help you do just that! In this course, we will discuss different topics related to writing such as paragraph structure, word choice, variation in language use, formal Dutch, grammatical correctness, and spelling. Focus completely on your writing skills with this course and take your self-written texts to the next level.
Who is this course for?
This course is intended for participants with an advanced level of Dutch at CEFR level B2. The course is also accessible to anyone with a higher level.
Plan a consultation Have you not taken a Dutch course at the Language Centre before? Then it is mandatory to first take a consultation with one of our teachers.
What will you learn in this course?
The course consists of 12 lessons of 1.5 hours each, during which the following topics will be covered:
Formulating well-flowing sentences
Tailoring your own text to the right audience
Checking texts for style, grammar and spelling
Writing clear texts
How many hours of independent study are required?
You should expect to spend a total of 30 hours on independent study in order to stay on track with the course. As part of your self-study, you will write one or more texts prior to each lesson. You will also complete reading and writing assignments from the book Nota Bene!
